The biggest yoga show on earth was held in the Indian capital of New Delhi on June 21, 2015, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi led almost 36,000 participants to mark the first International Day of Yoga:
BIGGEST YOGA SHOW ON EARTH: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined about 35,985 participants in the first International Yoga Day event at Rajpath in New Delhi on June 21, 2015. The mass participation in the 35-minute session of 21 asanas created a new Guinness record as the single largest yoga assembly. The Prime Minister, who was instrumental in getting the UN to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day in 2014, first spoke about the importance of yoga in daily life and then joined thousands of people in yoga asanas.
