Actor-model Sidharth Shukla, who died of a heart attack on September 2, 2021, at the age of 40, has joined the tragic list of Bollywood stars who died young.
Shukla follows Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, who ended his life on June 14, 2020.
Other Bollywood stars who died young or very early in their careers include Divya Bharti, Guru Dutt, Meena Kumari, Madhubala and Smita Patil.
Had those actors lived a full life, they would have enriched India cinema beyond imagination.

One of the greatest actresses, Madhubala was just 36 when she died in Feb 1969 of a heart condition she inherited from childbirth. Born Mumtaz Jahan Begum Dehlavi in Delhi in 1933, Madhubala mesmerized audiences with her unforgettable performance in Mahal, Mughal-e-Azam, Barsaat Ki Raat, Kaala Paani, etc. She was married to Kishore Kumar, though it was an unhappy marriage as she (being a Muslim) was never accepted by Kishore Kumar's family and moved back to her Bandra bungalow to live a lonely life. At various stages, she was linked to director Kidar Sharma, Kamal Amrohi, Prem Nath and even Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
