MUMBAI: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh can’t stop fuming at Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni for his son’s exclusion from the team for the just concluded World Cup.

Readers remember when Dhoni was appointed the Indian captain, Yograj Singh had criticized his elevation which he felt was at the expense of his all-rounder son.

In February this year when his son was not included in the Indian team for the World Cup, Yograj Singh had said, “I was shocked when I learnt that Yuvraj Singh was not in the World Cup squad. If MS Dhoni is having personal issues with my son, I won’t do anything, God will do justice. He (Dhoni) told the selectors that Yuvraj was not needed in the squad.’’

A former Indian cricketer himself, Yograj Singh is back at Dhoni again, saying that a day will come when Dhoni will become penniless and beg but will get no mercy from anyone.

Talking to a TV channel, Yograj Singh said, “Dhoni was nothing. He has become a god in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved.’’

A Punjabi actor, Yograj said, “He (Dhoni) laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run.’’

The angry Jat said, “Honestly, if I were a media person, I would have slapped Dhoni right there.’’

After his father’s outburst, Yuvraj tweeted to clarify that he doesn’t share his father’s views.

Youvraj helped India win the World Cup in 2011 and the T20 world cup in 2007.
