Kangana Ranaut tweets “trying to create hatred and communal tension” lead to FIR against the Queen actress and her sister

MUMBAI: After a court here ordered an FIR against her and her sister for their `communal’ tweets, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut hit out at the Maharashtra government, calling it `Pappu sena’.

Tweeting pictures of herself in Navratri celebration dress, Kangana wrote, “Who all are fasting on Navratris? Pictures clicked from today’s celebrations as I am also fasting, meanwhile another FIR filed against me, Pappu sena in Maharashtra seems to be obsessing over me, don’t miss me so much I will be there soon #Navratri.”

Casting director and fitness trainer Munnawarali Sayyed has filed a complaint against the actress and her sister Rangoli Chandel at the Bandra police station for  “trying to create hatred and communal tension”  with their tweets.

Ordering an FIR against the actress after the complaint, metropolitan magistrate Jaydeo Khule said in his order, “On prima facie perusal of complaint and submissions… I found the cognizable offence has been committed by the accused. Total allegations are based upon comment on electronic media — Twitter and interviews. The accused used social media like Twitter. The thorough investigation is necessary by the expert… search and seizure is necessary in this case.”

Kangana has been in a war words with the Bollywood establishment for the so-called culture of nepotism after the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has also been hitting out at the Shiv Sena-led government in Maharashtra in connection with the investigations into Sushant’s suicide.
