BOLLYWOOD: Do you know that Bollywood super star Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera makes more money than many CEOs in India?

Shera, the 53-year-old Sikh whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, has been taking care of Salman Khan’s security for more than 25 years now. He makes over Rs 2 crore each year. Which means he takes home more than Rs 16 lakh per month.

A former body builder who won Mr Mumbai and Mr Maharashtra titles, Mumbai-born Shera started his own security company called Tiger Security in 1993 for providing private security to celebrities.

And he met Salman when he was taking care of security of Hollywood star Keanu Reeve during his India visit.

“I met Salman again when Keanu Reeves, the Hollywood hero, had come to India. Speed had been released and Matrix was about to release. I did my first show with Salman in Chandigarh, and we’ve been together ever since,” Shera told ViralBollywood.

And since then, the handsome Sikh bodyguard has protected Salman Khan loyally.

As Shera told Indian Express in an interview in 2016, “I am like a horse decked up at a wedding to carry the groom. I am only concerned about my maalik (owner) and wherever he goes, I am there. I am his Yes Man. Till date, whatever maalik has asked, I’ve done. That is why I am a part of maalik’s family.”

Interestingly, Salman had dedicated his film Bodyguard to Shera. And the super star also plans to launch Shera’s son Abir Singh in Bollywood soon.

By the way, Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard Ravi Singh gets even more – Rs. 2.7 crore – than Shera.
