NEW YORK: After conquering Bollywood, porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has now conquered the world’s most prestigious ramp walk.
Sunny Leone became the first Bollywood actor to walk the ramp at the on-going New York Fashion Week on Sept 8 an Archana Kochhar ivory gown.

The victory at the New York Fashion Week is a sweet revenge for Sunny Leone who was once told that she can’t be a fashion model because she was too fat and too short.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a model and when I turned 18, I tried. I was told I was too short, too fat, too commercial or they were just not interested,’’ 35-year-old Leone told Press Trust of India in an interview after the ramp walk.
“This is my big ‘screw the negative people’ moment because this too short, too fat, too commercial girl got to walk at New York Fashion Week,’’ Sunny told PTI.
“This has been a dream for so long, I didn’t believe it was happening.’’
Sunny Leone’s mother-in-law and father-in-law were also the event. Posting her picture with her in-laws, Sunny tweeted, “Such a special moment. Glad they were there. Love you!”

Sunny Leone was born Karenjit Kaur Vohra at Sarnia in Ontario in Canada. Her family moved to the US when she was a little girl. As a teenager, she moved into the porn industry where she later married fellow porn star Daniel Weber. Sunny Leone’s parents are dead. She has a brother who is a chef.
Sunny Leone came to Bollywood via Bigg Boss 5 in 2011 as unknown entity.
But when her porn queen status came to light mid-way through the reality show, it shook people. However, the porn diva was lapped up by the Indian entertainment industry immediately as Mahesh Bhatt went to the Bigg Boss 5 house to sign her for his film Jism 2.
