MUMBAI: Have the producers of Ragini MMS 2 gone overboard to harness Sunny Leone’s sex appeal in the film?
Having done a couple of Bollywood films, the porn star-turned-actress Sunny Leone reportedly wants to cut down on portrayal of her sensuality in the promos.
Sunny has reportedly asked Ragini MMS 2 producer Ekta Kapoor to tone down the provocative promos of the film featuring her.
“Although she had no issues with the scenes being in the film, she wanted them not to be the highlight of the promos, since she’s trying to shy away from the ‘bold’ tag,’’ a source close to Ekta Kapoor has been quoted as saying.
But Ekta refused to ton down the promos. She said that Sunny respected their view and prerogatives as producers.
“Ekta did not want to deviate from the content of the film. It’s a horror-erotica. And Ekta had to incorporate those scenes (in the promos) to communicate the content aptly. Things didn’t turn out the way Sunny wanted. She might be upset, but has been professional enough to promote the film,’’ the source has been quoted as saying.
Ekta has said, “We are clear about horror and sexuality being the mainstays of the film (Ragini MMS 2), and that’s how it will be communicated.
But at the same time, Sunny says, “I liked the promo. It has got million hits.”
