TORONTO: Toronto’s Ammar Patel, 18, Marjan Samir, 19, Muhammad Hassan, 23, and underage offender have been arrested for trafficking in firearms and drugs in a major operation by Toronto Police.
Hunt is on for two more persons.
The arrests come under Project Malibu launched in September 2021.
It came to police’s notice that a group of individuals were actively involved in the sale of cocaine and fentany and trafficking of firearms in the Thorncliffe Park area.
As a result of the investigation, police seized drugs worth over $1.26 million and four firearms along with ammunition.
Ammar Patel has been charged with:
1. five counts of Trafficking cocaine
2. two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime
3. three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine
4. five counts of Trafficking Fentanyl
5. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
6. four counts of Careless storage of a firearm
7. four counts of Unauthorized Possession of a restricted firearm
8. four counts of Possession of a Restricted Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
9. three counts of Possession of a restricted firearm obtained by crime
10. four counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over
11. two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking fentanyl
12. Discharge firearm being reckless as to the life or safety of another person
13. Possess restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license and registration certificate
14. three counts of Possess firearm while prohibited
15. Breach probation
16. Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
17. Possession of a prohibited firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
18. Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammo
19. Possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by crime
20. three counts of Knowingly possess a prohibited firearm for transfer
21. three counts of Possession of a restricted firearm with ammo
22. Possession of a restricted firearm obtained by crime

A 17 year old young offender, of Toronto, who cannot be named has been charged with:
1. Trafficking Cocaine
2. Trafficking Fentanyl
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking fentanyl
Marjan Samir has been charged with:

2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking fentanyl
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine
4. Careless storage of a firearm
5. Unauthorized Possession of a restricted firearm
6. Possession of a Restricted Firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
7. Possession of a restricted firearm obtained by crime

Muhammad Hassan has been charged with:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine

Police are still looking for Nabeel Kabli, 18, and Shafiullah Abdulrashid, 19, of Toronto.
