BRAMPTON: Three Indo-Canadian men – Simranjeet Narang (29), Davinder Mann (36) and Aadish Sharma (27) – have been arrested for carrying out a daring armed robbery on Saturday.

Hunt is on to arrest the fourth suspect.

According to Peel Police, the victims of this armed robbery were driving in the area of Williams Parkway and Elbern Markell Drive in Brampton on October 9 when at about 8 pm their vehicle was intentionally struck from behind by a stolen SUV.

Fearing for their safety, the victims left the vehicle and ran into a nearby residence. But they were followed by four suspects who brandished a firearm and then stole the victims’ vehicle and electronics items – Apple computers and iPhones – located in it.

Police later located the victims’ vehicle and the stolen SUV used in the crime from a Toronto location, and arrested two men operating the cars. A third man was arrested from Brampton.

While Simranjeet Narang has been charged with robbery, Davinder Mann faces charges of robbery, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with release order. It means Mann is a repeat offender.

Aadish Sharma has also been charged with robbery, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with undertaking.

Search is one for the fourth suspect.

The stolen electronics, including Apple computers and iPhones, have not been recovered yet.

Police has warned that these stolen items have been disabled and will not be usable by potential purchasers. Public should be cautious when purchasing items through online classified sites, as they could be stolen and inoperable.

“This was a very fluid investigation that required officers to cross jurisdictional boundaries, which ultimately led them to locate, arrest and bring the suspects before the courts,” according to Nick Milinovich, Deputy Chief of Investigative and Emergency Services.

“Their coordinated efforts have without a doubt contributed to the safety and well-being of the communities we protect.”
