Indo-Canadian Amanjot Bains killed in Brampton plaza shooting

BRAMPTON: In what appears to be yet Indo-Canadian gang war, Amanjot Bains, 36, of Brampton was killed in shooting in a Brampton plaza on Tuesday morning.

Peel Police said it got a call at 12.54 am to attend an emergency after reports of shots at the plaza at Dixie Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard.

When police reached the spot, officers found Bains with gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital where he died later.

Police said the suspect might have fled in a red car.

Police also said that based on the investigation several potential witnesses were in the area at the time of the shooting.
