BRAMPTON: A 32-year-old Brampton man has been arrested for human trafficking, sexual assault and advertising sexual services.

Alyas Long alias Albas Fernandez landed in police net after an investigation by York Regional Police into a case of human trafficking.

A female victim reached police on mid-May for help to get out of the sex trade.

The victim told police she had been recruited by Alyas Long to initially provide erotic massages to clients he brought in. She was then lured into human trafficking for several months.

Police began their investigation and arrested the suspect.

Alyas Long has been charged with human trafficking, sexual assault, advertising sexual services and recruiting people for sexual service.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on June 9.

Investigators believe the accused may be involved with other vulnerable young women and are asking those victims to contact police.
