BRAMPTON: Constable Pawan Sandhu of Peel Regional Police has been arrested for assault, causing physical harm and uttering threats.
Sandhu, who has been with the police force for five years, is facing these charges for an off-duty incident that took place in Brampton.
Constable Pawan Sandhuhas been suspended with pay. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on January 10.
In a press release, Peel Regional Police said that once the criminal court proceedings against Constable Sandhu are completed, he will face an investigation under the Police Services Act.
