NEW DELHI: A 43-year-old Pakistan man from Quetta, who has already fathered 35 children with his three wives, says his target is to have 100 children.

Jan Muhammad, who is a doctor and trader by profession, has 21 daughters and 14 sons. The age of his children is from one-week0old to 16-year-old, says a report in Dawn.

“My target is 100 childen,” Dawn quotes him as saying. His brood went up last week when his wives gave birth to two daughters.

His huge family lives in a mud-brick house in a poor neighbourhood of Quetta in Balochistan. He says his monthly family expenditure is about Rs 100,000.

Jan Muhammad’s motto seems to be: the more the merrier. He says his family lives happily and he doesn’t believe that only “less family members lead to a happy life”.  He says he will educate all his children.

His elder daughter Shagufta says, “We, the girls have outnumbered the boys.” She is proud that her family was contributing to the increase in the number of girls in Pakistan.
