Brampton serial robber Sahibdeep Singh, 19, and his 17-year-old accomplice committed many retail and carjacking robberies between July 23 and August 4

BRAMPTON: 19-year-old Sahibdeep Singh of Brampton and his 17-year-old accomplice have been arrested a series of robberies and carjacking robberies.

Sahibdeep Singh was on a release order at the time of his arrest for an earlier robbery in 2020.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, also arrested earlier in an April 2021 robbery.

According to Peel Police, between July 23 and August 4, five retail robberies, including four carjacking robberies, took place in Brampton, one retail robbery in Toronto, one retail robbery in Caledon and one retail robbery in Vaughan.

In all these robberies, the suspects came armed with knives and an imitation firearm.

After a thorough investigation, police identified and arrested 19-year-old Sahibdeep Singh of Brampton and his 17-year-old accomplice on August 5.

A third suspect is still wanted. He is of an unknown race and between 5’8″- 5’10” in height.

Police conducted search warrants at two Brampton residences and seized several offence-related items.

Sahibdeep Singh and the 17-year-old have been charged with two counts of robbery, eight counts of using imitation firearm, 12 counts of disguise with intent, two counts of aggravated assault and fail to comply with release order.
