Brampton man Paramjit Dhanesar arrested for stalking woman at night

MISSISSAUGA: Paramjit Dhanesar, 38, of Brampton has been arrested and charged with stalking and threatening a woman.

According to Peel Police, Paramjit Dhanesar was arrested on February 12 for an incident that happened late night on November 26 last year when the accused approached a 19-year-old woman at about 1 am.

Driving a 4 door white sedan, the accused offered a ride home to the woman who was waiting  for a bus at a Mississauga Transit bus stop in the area of Britannia Road West and McLaughlin Road, Mississauga

But the woman refused his offer of a ride.

When the woman boarded a bus and reached her destination, the accused followed her home and confronted her while brandishing a weapon. But he fled after seeing some approaching vehicles.

After investigations, Peel Police identified the accused as 38-year-old Paramjit Dhanaser of Brampton and arrested him on February 12, 2022.

He has been charged with criminal harassment, stalking, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Police have asked any witnesses and victims to come forward and report any incidents.
